Abstract:

Objective To summarize the method for the identification of continuously pressed visible fingerprints by the features of print surface. Method Experimental fingerprint samples made continuously in different ways, as well as the fingerprint samples from practical cases, were analyzed to summarize the features of print surface. Results The ink accumulation and the blank regions of visible fingerprints are steady and common features, which are the primary basis for judging the continuous pressing. The coincident feature of marginal morphology is also objective evidence. On the other hand, the discrepancy of fingerprints should be analyzed carefully by reviewing the specific circumstance. Conclusion A certain quantity of valuable print surface features are the basis for the identification of continuously pressed fingerprints.
