Abstract: Object The difference between the length of various shoeprints and plane soleprints was studied to provide scientific evidence for analyzing the stature and personal features by shoeprints at criminal scene,and to establish foundations for quantified analysis and identification of footprints.Methods Shoes of different types and different size were selected,and samples of sheoprints and footprints imprinted in normal walking by people of diffenrent height and different foot size were collected;data of shoeprints and footprints were calculated statistically.Results The difference between sheoprints of different types of sheos and footprints was found out.Conclusion When analyzing statures and other personal features using shoeprints and footprints,certain correlation coefficient should be sustracted according to the type of shoes;then the original height analysis formula is applied to make a comprehensive result.
