Forensic Geology: Applications and Future Directions

摘要: 系统回顾了法庭地质学的发展历程、应用场景分类及其实践流程分析,并对全链条规范建设和证据评价体系构建的创新路径进行深入探讨。提出三个关键研究议题:一是制定适应不同应用场景需求的地质样本统一提取原则与规程;二是对地质样本分析方法进行适应性提升和地域指示性新型特征方法的挖掘;三是实现地质样本数据的深层次挖掘与系统化融合。通过对证据收集、分析与评估策略的整合,将显著提高地质样本在案件中的证据价值和采信率,从而更好地服务于实战应用领域,推动法庭地质学的学科发展与实践应用。

Abstract: This paper systematically reviews the development, classification of application scenarios, and practical workflows of forensic geology, with an in-depth discussion on innovative pathways for establishing standardized protocols and an evidence evaluation system. Three critical research priorities are proposed: the formulation of unified principles and procedures for geological sample collection, the improvement of analystical methodologies for these samples and the exploration of novel characteristic methods with regional indicative significance, and the in-depth analysis and integration of geological data. By integrating evidence collection, analysis, and evaluation strategies, the probative value and adoption rate of geological evidence in legal cases will be significantly enhanced, thereby driving forward both the scholarly and practical deployment of forensic geology.
