      Chinese Journal of Forensic Sciences (CN 31-1863/N, ISSN 1671-2072), founded in June 2001, is a comprehensive academic (bimonthly) journal governed by the Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China and sponsored by Academy of Forensic Science. It was approved for public distribution by the national publishing administration.

      The journal is included by Source Journal for Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations (Key Magazine of China Technology), AMI Comprehensive Evaluation Report of Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences Journals (Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences Core Journals), and RCCSE Chinese Core Academic Journals. The full-text articles of the journal are indexed in databases including CNKI, Wanfang Data, Weipu, PKU law.com, Chaoxing Digital Library, Chinese Data Group, China Law Innovation Network and China Civil Law Network. It is a reprint source journal of Academic Abstracts of Humanities in Higher Education Institutions, Periodicals Reprint Material of Remmin University, and Social Science Weekly.

      The aim of the journal is to promote academic exchanges in judicial sciences, facilitate scientific and technological innovation, support progress of the judicial appraisal system, and drive the development of the judicial appraisal industry through theoretical innovation, technological innovation, and management innovation.    

      Chinese Journal of Judicial Sciences focuses on both theory and application of judicial sciences. The publishing scope covers forensic medicine, physical evidence, audio-visual data, environmental damage, evidence theory, appraisal system, and industry management. Columns include Forensic System, Forensic Review, Forensic Science, and Forensic Forum, as well as Topic Discussion covering hot topics in the theory and application of forensic sciences.
