Abstract: Public institutional forensic appraisal bodies include those established by universities and scientific research institutions. They are administered by both the entities establishing them and governmental organizations in charge of forensic appraisal. They have advantageous position in hardware， software and human talents. Also， they are the main developing subjects in forensic appraisal and the main force in the practice and scientific research of forensic appraisal. They play a significant role in the development of forensic appraisal. The research on the distinguishing features is to clarify their position， and to exploit their advantages， which will help stimulate their core functions.

摘要：  事业单位型司法鉴定机构包括大专院校、科研院所设立的司法鉴定机构，其接受设立单位和司法鉴定主管部门的管理，具有鉴定硬件、软件、人才方面的显著优势，是我国司法鉴定主体发展的主要对象，也是司法鉴定实践、科学研究、制度研究的主要力量，对我国的司法鉴定发展具有举足轻重的作用。对其特点的探讨，目的在于确立其地位，发挥培养人才和科学技术创新的优势；规范质量管理，发挥在司法鉴定发展与实践的核心作用。
