The Application of Diminished Criminal Responsibility Rating Scale to Organic Mental Disorder’s Offenders TANG Tao;CAI Wei-xiong;ZHANG Qin-ting;HUANG Fu-yin;WU Jia-sheng;WANG Jian-jun (Institute of Forensic Science;Ministry of Justice;Shanghai 000;China) 2006(5): 21-23+2.  Abstract ( )   Objective To explore the feasibility of applying Diminished Criminal Responsibility Rating Scale (DCRRS) to organic mental disorder’s offenders. Methods The DCRRS were used to 73 cases of organic mental disorder’s offenders who were divided into three groups according to the degree of criminal responsibility. Results There were significant differences in rating score among the three groups (mild group 22.00±2.24, moderate group 27.46±5.46, major group 31.94±4.93), and all items had good correlation with the total score of the scale. 7 factors were extracted by the factor analysis, and their cumulative squared loadings were 76.306%. Conclusion The diminished criminal responsibility in organic mental disorder’s offenders could be divided into three grades. Related Articles | Metrics

Examination of White Wool Fibers by YGC/FID WANG Yan;SHI Xiao-fan;YAO Li-juan;WANG Jing-han (China Criminal Police College;Shenyang 00;China) 2006(5): 24-27.  Abstract ( )   25 types of white wool fiber were analyzed using HP-6890 gas chromatograph with a CZ-100 hot wire pyrolysis and a FID detector. The catalyzer-alkaline GC condition and pyrolysis condition were optimized, based on the reproducibility and minimum detection amount of alkali-catalyzed pyrolysis gas chromatography. The effect of solarizing, sweating and soaping on textile was studied systemically. The method can be applied in identifying fibers from different manufacturers, producing places and processes. It is reliable, sensitive, quick and easy to operate, and especially suitable for practical cases. Related Articles | Metrics
